Chelsea Yarnell is an Emmy Award-winning documentary director and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. With over a decade of experience in prestige unscripted television, she has a passion for immersive vérité filmmaking and thoughtful, character-driven storytelling. Chelsea has served as a lead creative producer and director on several critically acclaimed Netflix series, including the IDA Award-winning Last Chance U (2016-2019), Wrestlers (2023), and the Emmy-nominated America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (2024). Notably, she developed and co-directed both seasons of Netflix’s CHEER (2020, 2022), which earned three Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. Her most recent project, MARINES, debuts on Netflix on November 10, 2025. Chelsea is a member of the Directors Guild of America and a graduate of CalArts where she studied dance and film.
